About us

The Canadian Housing Policy Roundtable (the Roundtable) is an independent collective of leading housing actors representing housing associations from across the housing continuum, community organizations, researchers, planners, and data and policy experts.

The Roundtable works to address pressing housing challenges in areas requiring a systems approach. With membership spanning across the housing continuum, the Roundtable contributes a range of skills and expertise to applied research that advances housing policy and practice.

OUR IMPACT

Influences of our work according to sources in government include:

Creation of the Canada Housing Benefit through the National Housing Strategy: We made the case for a portable housing benefit, proposed a design for such a benefit, outlined the steps to implement the benefit, and advocated for its adoption in the National Housing Strategy.
